Heh! Don't forget Limelight, Save The Robots, & Sin Club, too. I'd include Studio 54 on that list, but my understanding was that it sucked there in the early '80s, just after Rubell + Schraeger got busted . . .

i actually will be starting a real job before too much longer ... so my daytime presence will be sharply cut back. i have totally been digging you all.

Yeah, that thread blew up big time. People feel verrryyyy deeeeply about this issue and took things personally. I didn't think that attack on you was warranted. Maybe I'll feel differently after I give birth (in 2 months!) and have to lose the 30 odd pounds of baby fat off my ass!

Hey Heartless,
I just want you to know how much I appreciate your voice of intelligence, reason and articulation on Gawker, i.e. the Helms thread.

Peace
xxoo

Hey Cosette, I like your avatar too. Did you used to have a different name? Somehow, it seems we've met somewhere before.

dulce est decorum est ... is from this anti war poem by wilfred owen

this explains the poem by a british soldier who became anti-war after seeing what war really means ... like i wish the people in charge of the us govt would and like mcsame hasn't figured out

[en.wikipedia.org]

Owen, in the final stanza, asserts that, should readers see what he has seen, they would no longer see fit to instill visions of glorious warfare in young men's heads. No longer would they tell their children the "Old Lie," so long ago told by the Roman poet Horace: "Dulce et decorum est / Pro patria mori" ("It is sweet and fitting to die for one's country")

and here is the full poem

Thanks! You are wonderful too, I try not to miss too many of your comments. You are very sane, which is not exactly normal 'round these parts (planet Earth).
